I absolutely hate IMDb’s redesign. It’s horrible. I hated when they decided to show English titles rather than the original ones as well, but the redesign is ten times more difficult to stomach. In fact, it’s so bad I seriously started wondering if I could move at least some of my film site needs somewhere [...]

According to statistics over 80% of comments left on blogs are spam. In my case it’s even worse than that as over 90% of the comments I get are spam (which is why I moderate this blog pretty heavily). Just to give you an idea - at this time there are 618 comments on this [...]

Apparently, it was copyright’s 300th birthday 10 days ago! I thought this was a pretty cool article about the history of copyright and how different its original intentions were.
Also, there’s been an interesting development in the fight against piracy recently. The US government has admitted that most piracy studies are complete nonsense. More about this [...]

Even though I’ve not posted anykind of news about anything on this blog for ages, I felt this news was so big that I just had to share it :)

I always knew that my dad’s excuse of not being able to learn to use the computer because he’s old was flimsy :] It’s a shame that older people tend to have a lot of resistance against computers. Many of them are lonely and the internet offers older people plenty of convenient ways of socializing [...]

Check it out here. For most things Google will work better, but there are some things for which Wolfram|Alpha is probably a much better choice. If you’d like to try it out and compare to google then this is a very handy firefox add-on that displays Wolfram|Alpha search results on the google search results page, [...]

I came across this. When you count all versions of Firefox and all versions of IE then IE still comes on top in Europe (though not everywhere - not in Poland for example *grin*), but Firefox 3.0 is the most popular browser version in Europe at the moment :) It’s interesting to see that [...]
