Who said that older people can’t learn to use computers?

I always knew that my dad’s excuse of not being able to learn to use the computer because he’s old was flimsy :] It’s a shame that older people tend to have a lot of resistance against computers. Many of them are lonely and the internet offers older people plenty of convenient ways of socializing and they are perfectly capable of learning them!
Here’s the story of an 103 year old lady in the UK, who is actively using Facebook and Twitter. Apparently her enthusiasm is addictive - many of the people in the care home have followed in her footsteps.
And here’s the story of a Spanish lady, who started blogging at 95. She became so popular that her death (at 97) is being reported by various media outlets.
