USA-Syria relations after the raid
I’m following up my previous post. It’s been a few days and the USA still hasn’t even owned up to conducting the raid.

US raid in Syria
The US is supposed to have crossed the Iraq-Syria border by helicopter and started shooting at civilians. What I totally don’t get is that the US has not given ANY comment on this. They haven’t even said anything on the lines of “we’re looking into it”.
A virtual strip search
You know how in Baadshah (a Bollywood film) there’s this pair of glasses which make you see everybody with no clothes on, so you can check if they have any weapons? Well, it’s no longer a joke, it’s real and it might be used at European airports…
Do the people waging wars know any history or geography?
When I read things like this I get very aggravated:
The tragedy happened early on in Britain’s deployment to Helmand province, at a time when 3 Para and others faced chronic shortages of everything from ammunition, helicopters and even - in some cases - food.
Few had realised the front-line would present quite such savage terrain.
