It’s been almost a year since I spotted Cherrybomb and yet only now is it getting a release date in the UK. Still practically no news whatsoever about release dates elsewhere in the world.
On the positive side, a UK release date means a little bit of publicity, so at least there’s that ;-P

There’s been a lot of speculation about whether the upcoming Deathly Hallows movies will feature nudity or not. There actually is a scene in the book where Harry is naked (it’s not a sexual scene if anyone’s wondering), but most people assumed the film would interpret naked as bare-chested.

Siddiq Barmak, without exaggerating too much, basically is Afghan cinema nowadays. Almost any Afghan film project intended for cinema is somehow associated with him. In the interview he talks about his award-winning film Osama (which I reviewed in April), but he also says a lot of stuff about the Taliban. [...]

I rather liked him in Spread yesterday, so I watched some of his interviews - this is him on Rove and this is part one and part two of an interview he did on Jonathan Ross.

The big news is that his first post-Twilight movie has been announced - it’s not good news for me and Kin as it sounds like he won’t be losing much muscle ;) He’s playing a superhero.

Also, the New York Times did two nice features - one on Colin Firth and one on Tom Ford.

I’m holding my breath for an announcement about when A Single Man will be released in Poland. It’s kind of odd - I think it’s the first time I’m this excited for something quite that art house. Usually, it’s only the big publicity machines that generate quite this amount of excitement from me ;)
