The quirks of being involved in IT

Something me and a friend at school are catching ourselves out on more and more regularly is how computerized our every day language has become. For example quite recently I asked my friend how on Earth she’s managing to do so many things at once (work, school, another school, friends etc.) and she started explaining it to me like an algorithm. It went along the lines of “in the evening I either a) go to school or b) don’t go to school” and so on - it was hilarious ;) Just yesterday she caught me out on some strange language usage - we were eating out and sharing food and I told somebody that the rest of the bread was his by telling them they have permissions to it (in IT you talk about permissions in context of system users - different users have different permissions).
And it seems that the longer we stay in IT the worse it’ll get ;)
