The teaser poster of Thirst, Park Chan-Wook’s latest film, features a priest in “sexual context” and has therefore been banned in Korea. You can see it here. I think it’s quite beautiful and only a little bit sexual, but whatever :]

As of the 4th of April no new films are going to be shown in Indian multiplexes. Film producers say they cannot afford the deals multiplexes force upon them and that’s why they’ve had to take such drastic action.

Various Slumdog news and musings

I’ve had some people tell me they won’t watch Slumdog Millionaire because the kids in the film were exploited - they’re still living in the slums, were paid below minimum wage etc. The story that’s coming through most loudly is hardly the only one though, so I thought I’d try and gather all the different [...]

Two Robert Pattinson interviews

This interview totally cracked me up. It’s even weirder than his usual I think. I totally died when he started talking about his Dali film:
?In a lot of ways,? Pattinson says, ?I was kind of crossing lines of what I thought I was comfortable doing. I had to do all this naked stuff.?
See, Little Ashes [...]

More Harry Potter film news

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is not even released yet, but we’ve already got the first photos from the set of Deathly Hallows :] They look kind of cool :) People are guessing it’s the silver doe scene, but it could be any of the camping scenes actually.
There’s some Harry Potter and the Half-Blood [...]

{FILM DIARY}
Most of the kids they cast for the first Potter movie had none or little film experience. Tom Felton was AFAIK pretty much the only kid they cast, who had done any Hollywood movies beforehand, so I figured that with my current Tom Felton phase, this would be a good time to delve into [...]
