The Trailer and a Short Clip
Here’s the accent *grin*
And here’s the sex and the drugs *grin*
The sceptical part of me thinks that…
Well… I’m usually not into sex & drugs kind of movies. However, this one has had good reviews so far and even just getting into the Berlin festival is a good commendation, so I’m not that sceptical ;)
The excited part of me thinks that…
I have to see Rupert Grint in something like this lol While Daniel Radcliffe is my favourite of the young Potter actors as far as interviews go (rather apparent from my blog I think ;-P), Rupert Grint is the one I enjoy watching on screen the most.
I would have been excited for any of his new films, but this one has me particularly excited because it’s such a huge departure from what he’s done so far. All of the Potter films, as well as Driving Lessons have him in fairly light and comedic roles. Thunderpants was a little different in that it actually showed he’s potentially a great character actor (if you want to see him as a child-professor type with a perm, sticking out teeth and a posh British accent then that’s the film for you ;) he’s perfect!), but he’s still there as the comic relief.
This one, however, is clearly going to be much darker. And anyway, just the accent had me sold already *grin* Apart from barely being able to understand what he’s saying it sounds great ;) It’s also fun to see him do something controversial, though I guess that nobody in the Harry Potter cast will outdo Radcliffe and his naked horse act ;) In case you want to know - apparently Grint does have a fairly graphic sex scene in this (which the tabloids have been focusing on), but no nudity.
